Caboose was rescued from the Alorton, IL after receiving a call there was a horse who was hit by a train. Upon arrival Caboose was eating grass as if nothing had happened. Caboose is blind and has been for years. He did have several bumps and cuts along with a severe leg injury which with wonderful Veterinarian care has healed nicely.
Recently Randy was given some background on Caboose which was interesting as typically upon arrival at the ranch there is no background. His original owner was from the Waterloo area. His name at that time was Rudy. He was used as a stud and has offspring. Even though at that time he was blind he rode trails all over. His original owner saw him on the internet site Dodo. She had given him to a family in Alorton some time ago.
