Ben is a ranch favorite. He pulls you in with those amber eyes and all the sudden you are giving him treats and belly rubs. We believe Ben is a beagle dachshund mix and approximately three years old. We aren’t sure how he became paralyzed but it doesn’t stop him at all. Ben is an outgoing boisterous guy who is a little bossy if we don’t move fast enough for him. When Ben wants something, he wants it now! Ben was heartworm positive upon intake. The treatment is really hard on the body and very expensive but he got through it with flying colors. The treatment is by weight and his fell in the $425.00 range for the two injections alone. Additionally, he required overnight hospitalization and medications prior to and after treatment.
